How Markets React

Companies typically beat, meet or miss analyst expectations.

  • Beats estimates: Stock tends to rise

  • Meets expectations: Minimal movement

  • Misses projections: Stock tends to fall

External factors such as economic shifts can temporarily distort results. One strong or weak quarter does not define a company's long-term trajectory.
