Re-quote

A re-quote occurs in 'Instant Execution' only, when a broker is unable to confirm a trade at a certain bid or ask price. In other words, by the time a trade is received the price has already changed, which in turn forces the broker to re-quote a different price to the trader. Re-quotes tend to occur in volatile markets, especially when a highly impactful economic indicator is released.
